Hey Blue I have a question for ya....do you use an armature at all in your babies or just pure clay? And I'm having issues with sizing...ie, if my baby was to be 5in long...how big is the head lol!! My heads come out waaaay bigger than the body. Ta

Hi hon......... i will post a pic tonight with baby proportions. I usually keep one under my glass tray i work on so i can keep them little suckers the right legnth. no armatures on the two and 3 inch iddys but anything bigger yes full wire and foil for body and head. tinfoil scrunched up tight as i can get it. But I use fimo and its pretty solid. you might need a thin wire armature with soft clay, im not sure how much your clay relaxes. will get back to you with the pics.

Oooh, Blue, does your pic show arms and legs length as well? I found something that said the torso should be 1 1/2 to 2 times the head (length). I did find this one but I can't read the measurements, bit hard to go by pic. **These are just thumbs; click on them to see the bigger versions** Oh and these! (Iwent on a scavange one day)

cool.....glad you got one....please do take the little rubber feet off the bottom if it has them on and........... do remember to let everything cool in the oven before you take it out ***please***
.....if you do have to take it out before hand place is on something heat safe eg marble board or oven top cause it will retain its heat for a while and kinda dangerous to have around on bench ends etc.
sculpt on it....then transfer to oven......waa laa your done. easy to keep clean.....dust free etc.
another handy thing i do use is a bamboo place mat....... looks like woven meat skewers kinda place mat because they stop your tools rolling around the table.

ahhhhhhhhhhhh
one of my main goal in life is to................. keep it simple..........
why pay $30 for a tool that youd get the same effect from as a knitting needle.............. heck maybe im just cheap........yikes..........LMBO but whatever works ha.
keep it simple ladies....... and if in doubt.......
ask the male to go to his man shed and invent something interesting.
