ok, maybe there's already a thread somewhere for this but can anyone give me any advice on the best way to put armature on these butterfly wings? TIA

as in thin wire hoop? pushed into or you want to completely wire frame in between slithers?

Just the outside to hold the shape, I guess. I've used black clay 'strings' along it but I thought there might be a less obtrusive way. I thought about sandwiching it between two slices but the orange is mostly translucent and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to match up the patterns, lol!

ok another thought........ and yes it hurt.......and yes there was smoke...
tee hee hee
what for / why exactly do you wish to wire them? and........
you can bake them over a tin foil A frame so they will bake with wings up so to speak.
kinda tricky unless we know what you plan on doing with them--- do you wish to hang them? sorry sweetie dont mean to sound rude. muah

Still experimenting. Maybe a brooch or pendant or window decoration. The slices are that thin that even after baking they might be a bit fragile. omg I just pulled the first set out of the oven... I'll be back with pics!
