Please do Donna The more we enter the more exposure we give our medium, and hopefully the more collectors in New Zealand we can drum up I think this part of the process is the most fun I get an idea in my head and then start researching it, gathering pics and information regarding their pose, and clothing and such. Lots of fun |

The Doll feds have the annual events listed on their webby.
They do not as of yet have 2012 events listed tho. hmmm soon my pretty soon.
The Hamilton Doll and bear show is at the end of May. Grin
Have not been these last two years but will be there next year.
Oh how i love this show be it so cold in the morns.... the most beautiful fallen leaves around with a brisk early walk along the foggy river oh beautiful. brrrrrrrrrr

Hey its wonderful to have you on the boards Wendy and excellent to see your wee monkey, hope you show your super cute fairies and jointed bubs too.
I'm tinkering with a mini jointed fairy at the moment but it isn't going easy, not sure if I'll continue actually I've only done a little bit...LOL
Mr M was sorting papers for the recycling and found my Katherine Dewey "lifelike figures" book in among the old newspapers... EEEEEEK! My bible.. I'm so thankful he found it...
Jules would you mind if I used the photo you took of Lorenzo & Lucy at the show? I downloaded it from here. I don't have a good photo of it all together, only in sections.

I have too many other non clay things to do too.. The fairy was supposed to be something I could leave out and play with in between, but its not working out very well.. not focused enough, I only have unfinished hands and feet now and a big blob of dirty clay LOL, and she was to be 'jointed' NOT 'ball jointed' too... M bought me a floor standing magnifying light from a Sallies store for only $35.. YAY.. Its so cool.. I've had my eye on them for awhile but they are always quite expensive.. Blue remember the wide coloured lace at the show
well the emporium in Howick next to Sallies has a variety of wide coloured lace for $3 a meter - they are so pretty I want to buy, can't choose and unless I have a project I need it for I really shouldn't, but they are very beautiful and tempting

Tails..... the choice was so soooooooo hard they were allllll so gorgeous there was some that i just drooled over........omg I did get a meter of a few ( and a few more ).... and now in reflection there was one in particular i just KNOW ill use more of. omg a black with the most dainty lilic flowers......... groan Ill be back next week to get another couple meters and that should do the trick. Evil me. yes very evil me! Bonus of the day is.....I Officially Have spring sorted. the kind gent from the spring manufacturers is gonna custom make them for me....... thank god the spring drama is over it was bouncing my head in. so now im all set.......... have another couple repairs to the moulds.... cause i wrecked the headcap mould....oops. then im all set to caste. Im sure ya sick of hearing it by now its been such a long project. but alllllllllmost there allllllmost. But I have to admit..... my fingers are itching and twitching for clay again. have to start something fast before rigamarotes sets in. Psssssssst found a better way to file down glass beads than the dremmel.......... a simple flat Diamond file with a touch of water. anyhow shall dash... have a wonderful eve ladies and spycats  xR |

Ooh yes that shop does have BE-A-uuuutiful lace I don't blame you
glad you got the springs sorted and the moulds nearly done and I'm not tired of hearing just glad its still good and hope it will turn out great

I really wanted to sculpt last weekend but its distracting me and as soon as the other things are done I can get back to making more dreaded eyes and hopefully some sculpting
