Yep it's a week into December now, geez this year has gone fast. Is anyone ready for Xmas? I'm not organised at all.. and I only have a handful of pressies so far, looks like I'll be doing it all last minute this year. I did manage a small sculpting creation, lol.. I made a small something for Blues birthday, but I can't show you coz I haven't caught up with her yet and thats about it from me.. ;D

One thing I can say about this year - when it comes to the presents I am super organised Everything is done for the kiddies, and my husband, and my family gift. Even the aunty's on my husbands side are almost all done. So that feels good to have that all under control. Still wish I had more time for sculpting. There are so many project I have either half finished or still locked away in my head. I really hope next year I can develop my skills and get some great work done Speaking of great work, have you seen this fellow kiwi's work? www.nzherald.co.nz/entertainment/news/video.cfm?c_id=1501119&gal_cid=1501119&gallery_id=129390

Hi everyone. I suddenly realised that I hadn't been on here to check what was new for a week or more. I'll have to try to remember to make that a habit lol. I've been working on a few bits and pieces lately. I have made a couple of commission pieces which keep my craft account topped up with money to buy more crafts supplies with, although I must admit that I still spend faster than I earn :/. I have been quite restless and erratic with my projects of late - I have been flitting from one medium to another, and from one disipline to the next. I'm not sure why that is, but I am pleased that I'm finishing each project before moving on, which is unusual for me. I've been known to start projects and then file them away for years, unfinished and forgotten. My recent work hasn't even included polymer clay. I've been making miniatures from jewellery findings, and I've completed my first ever miniature patchwork quilt. I'm really happy with how it turned out AND that I finished it within a week *shock, horror!*. I never, ever sew, let alone quilt or patchwork, but I threw myself in there, boots and all, with no pattern or plan, and suprisingly it looks pretty good. I'm not in the xmas spirit this year, and haven't even put our tree up . Not sure if I will, what with a 17mth toddler on the loose. But maybe in the week leading up I will start to feel more festive. I'm contemplating whether to make a few pc xmas pressies for my kids and niece and nephews - it's filed in my head under 'maybe' . That Weta sculpter - WOW!! Just ... WOW!

Hi all... Great stuff with the commission pieces cre8ing, your miniature work sounds really cool, I would love to see your mini quilt etc, I've made a couple of small things myself for Xmas pressies and birthdays, sadly I'm having to work in the early hours of the morning, things don't look as good in the light of day LOL.
