Okay so I get bored easily... ;D ;D Anubis. Do yell if you are looking for anything in particular as you go along, I have some fake watch faces, and other bits n bobs I collected when you had me fired up on steampunk... happy to help. Cool, cool house Blue. It made me remember a few years back I made a box with 3 witches 'round a cauldron in a forest setting, shack in the corner.. made mainly in mache. Hmmm, I would like to do that again.. clay this time of course. thanks for the offer to use the push mould, I bought some off Petra when she cleared her classroom stock... I have a few of these crosses to decorate so I'll def have a look next Friday.. Speaking of Friday, I pre-warned the kid he'll be walking home that day, Oh the indignity, how could anything I was doing be more important !!! I tried to win Big Wednesday so I could fly Bll & Anubis up too..But I only won a bonus ticket, hopefully that will win.. I should really be starting something for the doll show NOW!! hehe, when do they tell you what the theme is? Okay lunch finished, base-coat dry on cross...off to top coat...

There was a lady that will be at the Masterton show that said I could send dollies to her if I wanted to enter ( I don't have anything to enter at the moment) you could always do it through her if I can find her contact by tomorrow but I'm sure that means you don't have to have a table wow what a fairy house/mansion You were working in that heat in the garden Donna - torture Not sure when they tell us around march maybe bet Blue will know Got to go make a quiche - vegetables need to be used up.

Petra is truly EVIL! that woman has the coolest stuff most of which is MUST HAVE cool stuff to. fatal she really is a true gem with so many pretty things oh sigh. oh shiney things things that make magpies faint with glee
it wont be long before they decide on theme for next years comp. it is not compulsory tho the only real requirements is that you are a member of the nz doll federation which costs about $25 for the year and they do send out quarterly newsletters with all comp infos etc..
did you see the entry in this years com from the 5 year old wee girl she made a paper machete mermaid and setting etc. bless her cotton sox. she was very matter of fact about entering again next year to LOVE IT! so so so sweet. absolutely delightful.
what are you thinking making the boy walk. His legs might fall off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA I can imagine the indigence of it all muhahahahahaha. priceless
i couldnt get baby hands/ fingers posed just right so have come to look at photos .............ummmmmmmmmmmm baby hands URG the cat is snoring on the table...as usual. study buddy lmao
ok im off to see the wizard.... and to take an anti-troll pill

;D I did see the wee girls entry, made me smile. She did a wonderful job of the mermaid, if she is that good at 5 years old imagine how great she will become. I'll join the doll federation then, I noticed they hadn't updated their site when I looked the other day. Blues fluffy work buddy cat is precious, he lay right in the middle of the work table, on his back, and snored his little brains out. I loved him I met cat burglar too, as he streaked past me slinking low to the ground, hehe. Coffee break over..mmm vege quiche would have gone well with it.. I found some more silk hankies in another bag, so if you find a use and want any more, call out. I think gloves and tweezers are needed to work with that stuff, just like real cobwebs...

You don't have to belong to the doll federation enter in the Auckland doll show. I did ask before I first started entering Lol at cat to get an entry form for the doll comp you just contact them a few months before the show or I will send you a copy when I get mine- once you've entered they will send an entry form the next year ...

ohhhh thats fantastic news. i thought you did...... see i really need to go brush up on some homework lmao
i love my big ol fluffy boy but MANNNNNNNNNNNNN he thinks he owns that table but then he looks at me with those big ol yellow eyes and softly treadles his little paws on the table and i just cant shoooooo him away and yes cat burglars been busy today i found a pair of fairy wings behind one chair and several pieces of chewed paper behind the other. sitting down wondering where she got the wings from and there runs across the studio floor a wee skink trying to find means of escape. oh dear lord. its a madhouse.
hope your vege quiche turned out perfectly tails. and your cross donna. and anubis hows the planning and bll how are you doing today?

Slow going with the cross, waiting for paint to dry before I can put the crackle medium on, I might go ahead with the flourishes while I wait.. I also have housework I should be doing and I'm supposed to be loading the trailer with slabs of concrete...
A FEW months before the show fantail, I need more than a few...
Btw Blue your Man did a most amazing horse for the show, he really is talented.
I left my bag of fluffy bits on the ground while I searched for the push moulds..I just caught my dog sitting next to it looking guilty. She was eyeing up what looks like a tail, its pale yellow. I wont leave that down again.

I have a picture of my early sketches dated in May which is after I received my entry form but like Blue said the theme is not compulsory. I just suggested when you can get your form and send it off, but I will send you a copy when I receive it which will be months earlier. I just thought if Blue joins up she might know before I do. Haha whats it with animals lately - perhaps they feel neglected Quiche is tasty - I could have added bacon but feeling lazy with all the vegie prep work Hope those baby hands turn out great Blue and have fun decoration the cross Donna Bet you are enjoying your box as much as I do Anubis. Ok back to sewing ;D

vege quiche wouldve been good, I dont eat anything with a face (not entirely true, I eat seafood occasionally) Well I now officially have a dodgy box... with a cross in it.. waste of blardy time.. ;D I used a new type of crackle medium, I wasn't sure how it would work...now I know. Never mind, I'll sand it off at some stage, meanwhile I've put texture paste on another 5. Hope it dries quickly.. or she'll get a cross for Christmas.

Oh poor Bll.. thats too much going on while you're unwell.. I really hope it all settles down for you soon. Is your tonsillitis getting better now? I think I've run out of time for the cross now..Damiens coming for dinner tonight, Jesses girl wants picking up from the bus station in the city lunch-time tomorrow, then to the mall for sil's pressie. I should have thought of it earlier, however I will still carry on with it between times.

Bll my dearest it sounds like you've got both cups and both hands full to overflowing right now but..
in the middle of difficulty lies opportunity ,,,,,,,,,,,
youll get this lot whipped up and sorted out, you will, then maybe some decompression is mandatory !
Dodgy boxes can be handy things Im impressed yours has such an artistic start donna. ( ducks and waits for the slap=kidding) sorry your project hit a snag
but im with you i dont eat anything with eyes _ but i do eat the odd chook now : ( country life ruined me
anyhow limbs are done but ill spend a few more days tweaking things and attempting to put life into it..... i really want to get them filled and as sorted as i can on the first bake. it would be nice not to have to fill anything then i will try the TLS and Genesis mix on the second bake. but am really happy with them so far i think they have much better form than my usual. yaa really just struggling with the fingers trying to get it shaped around the knuckles etc getting it natural looking. hmmm rounded and with the little finger puffs curved in just right. hmmmmm hmmmmmm

Hope you get the limbs just right and those pudgy baby fingers perfect Can't wait to see them and get back to sculpting myself I want to try a different pattern as I feel they don't quite look like a baby grow although they look fine and the hats are fiddly - I have lots of threads to tie off on it all- a job I dislike very much and some buttons or some such to sew on so the can close

Hi you lot.. well I got thru' all my errands without a fuss.
checked out the links and video... I thought the cake was really good, very realistic..would be effective in a doll house or display.. I'm not sure about the polymer paint, I think TLS and artist oils or genesis would be a better option.. The video was a visual delight, haunting, but well done. Gorgeous canes, always amazed by the cane work, wow.
How did the projects go today?
I have a bit of time so I'll go and have a play with the moulds and some paint and texture paste.. ;D
