WOW blow me over with generosity ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D It must be Christmas Completely unexpected giant box of goodies just landed on my doorstep Even a little baby ;D I’ll do my best to make some beautiful baby clothes to do them justice. Thank you Blue. The paint brush and sanding block is excellent, even tiny canes. Lovely Fur and felt and paw material galore. I could just dive into to the box . Thank you Donna, for the paint, pan velvet the silk hair, hanky and material. The dark red is so beautiful. Hehe had to take the silk out of the bag to have a better look and my rough fingers got stuck on it. It so fascinating *wriggles fingers in glee* Thank you both from the bottom of my heart. Gorgeous people both of you. You are too kind Donna she is way better

***GRIN our pleasure ; ) I agree that red velvet *OMG just screams for some attention i literally drooled over the blue velvet oh yes i did..... and the silk.. i two twiggled and twangled it in my fingers getting fluffy bits like an attach of a spiders web but ohhhhhhhhhh yes i have plans for that stuff. beautiful. its just amazing stuff the white sanding blocks are actually acrylic nail file blocks but they although are quite grunty to start with they do last a long time. just keep belting them like a blackboard duster to keep them clearish you can get the buffer/polishing blocks here now at the $2 shops they are quite good to. the paint brushes are acrylic nail art brushes. cheep as chips but quite well made. they seam to last well tho mine get a hard life. resins acrylics, genesis paints thinners and only the ones i mottle with have curled bristles so theres hope for them yet. as for the mini canes. how the heck they do them that small i have no idea. im not even gonna ever attempt it. i dont know if i even wanna know it hurts jsut trying to figure that out. the baby...dont laff to loud... its just parts from when i started pressure casting. my failures were because my mould casings / plaster over silicone contained to much moisture urg. live and learn. sorry hes not pretty but still im just learning had to go back and look at the doll window scene again OMG its so freaking fantastic. it would be nice to have a doll show table set out like that in scene rather than separate doll specimens etc hmmmmmmmm im just so taken with it.....there's just something about them all have an attach of lazyitis today....... i just cant .....i could but........ ummmmmmm fluffed in the studio for a bit and now i just cant.... or dont really wanna be bothered.. no excuses either. oops. tomorrows another day. need chocolate....bbl x

Busy day, I've finally got a chance for a quick chat before sleep... fantail you're very welcome I didn't have a lot to contribute, but we all got equal shares. I hope it will be useful. I'm glad I'm not the only one with rough hands then..hehe you should've seen me trying to peel it into 4. Blue was the generous one aaand she wouldnt let me contribute to postage either I'm pleased you're enjoying Anna Brahms work as well, I just had another peek. I REALLY want to make woodland settings and the like, in fact I think I'll make a setting for my troll and make a couple of friends for him (they are already in my head)... and then.. oh no, now I won't sleep thinking about it all.. 'tis the witching hour, off to bed.. 'night.

i made this 3 sided box a bit ago for using for doll photo settings. it was actually jolly handy to. and perfect for wee creatures. the only reason i had to dismantle it was because my cats decided it was a perfect nap and play spot. flying moss and beaten up twigs didn't look so pretty by the time the troupe of four paws got to it. sigh but yer been thinking half the night about making another setting. something suitable for the show table etc. hmmmmmm anyhowz hope your rested well now anubis so glad the show went so very well. and BLL hope your feeling somewhat better honey. Im so glad tummy bug boy is doing better to. catch you latters ladies xR Attachments:

Egh I'm experimenting on the onsies odd things happening and I don't feel I got any further but hope to tackle it soon - bits turning out to short means I had to add ribbing edges which takes time to sew. I do enjoy looking at the little face keeps me going- such a great head shape

Glad you got the shins sorted Blue, have you started your display box yet ;D, I have some small Granite blocks (Fimo if I recall) if you want some for small rocks... Fantail, whats a onsie? Is it like an all-in-one suit? Boy it was hot alright, I was swinging a large pick axe into a pile of dirt that was quickly turning rock hard... Whew!!!! I did manage to put a butt on one marionette, and make a slight start on a B'day gift for my SIL for Sunday. My brother was brainstorming with me about the hinge joints for the girls, but we didn't really come to a solution. I can see why no-one else has bothered, they clothe over them. Don't know why I had to make PUPPETS..LOL. The thought has crossed my mind about creating a dodgy/UFO box at this stage...hehe. I hope everyone has had a great day... ;D ;D

Im going to enter a competition in April next year...... Its to be held down here they are having a doll and bear show similar to the one in Hamilton. So I thought that I would enter a large cloth doll and another bit of different.... So I decided today that I would do a room in miniature Something like this........................... but................... It will be a Persian alchemist's room with a steampunk twist what do you think ideas please. I wanted the alchemy theme so thought I would go back to where it all started in Persia that way I get to play with lots of colour, draping and curvy lines.

oh and......... unsure on show table display yet. might just have to go predictable mossy forest type setting. only thing is people running their hands over it for a couple of days it might end up looking like a forest and desert display my table cloths and skirting are black so all things do stand out it depends also on if i have the 10 inchers in production by then yet to if so then ill have a big tree to hang them in hmmmmmm and the rest will have cocoons hmmmmmm or maybe incorporate cocoons into the moss oh gees ill end up with 6 foot worth of moss and twigs HA it need some applied thought to work it out practicality sake. ok im buzzin off have a wonderful day ahead \ xR

Wow Anubis! That looks fantastic, utterly magical, I don't have any ideas but I'm sure you will be able to do it or that you can rack Blue, Bll and Donna's brain- maybe Lindiloo can help.
Spot on Donna that's what we use to call the long ones but I don't know the name if it has short sleeves and legs or what they call it here. Baby-grow I think.
Don't know how great it turned out but will be happy if you like it Blue I found a way to do the collar that works but I'll rather make another then redo the first I just realised Dolly doesn't have diaper/nappy on but there should be enough room aslong as its not too bulky haha. I want to finish them now but have other things that must be done Ce la vie

;D Helloooo... Anubis, loving that little house again this morning. New projects are always way more exciting... I'll bet your head is swimming with idea's now. Blue, I cant wait for your display at the doll show, cocoons and trees and swings...*sigh.. and all your gorgeous babies, and the iddy biddies, they were wayyyy smaller in RL than I had imagined.. and Fantails entry ;D Oh wait... no I can wait..just remembered I'm 'supposed to be entering.. I won't be able to get out of it now, especially with Anubis entering her show... You will shine Anubis. I'll be working on an easy-peasy project today, taking the pressure of the brain for a while. I'm making SIL a small decorative cross. MDF decorated with crackle effect, motive and polymer clay flourishes (mould). shouldnt take long so it will be nice to actually finish something Well off I go (for now anyway, I'll be back when I get bored..) Have fun !!! ;D

hey hey........... i have some celtic push mould borders and corners that might be helpful for that cross. sing out if any good ; ) sounds like a cool project tho bet youll have fun ; ) best of luck with it. and yer the 3 inch butterfly babies like that hanging cocoon with the cane wings etc then the iddy biddys and the iddy biddy minis which are those really small ones now you know why i get a bit mental after doing them all i do close my eyes and see them RARRRRRRRRRRR i loves them so but still........ its as small as i ever wanna go ............... Tails has the corner on 15 mm things......... greif i dunno how you do it tails. thank goodness its cooler today phew so much easier to clay it. and yes Donna i know I get a bit bossy here and nag and wine and moan about entering the comps and things. but its just to help get the craft out there and show folks what can be done to. and its good to thicken the skin and show our own skills. heck we even win doll of the show around these here joints.......we have hamilton and auckland covered tee hee hee.........time to take over the world If my mr can enter his very first piece......... then so can anyone else : ) and also once you get to meet a few regulars at the shows youll find them ( even the seasoned biddys usually full of 30 + years experience dollmaking and they know a few tricks or two or five and a lot of the porcelain dollmakers are actually sculptors also. they at times have ripped me up rolled me back together with advice and pushed me back out there in the right direction. priceless stuff. but i do ask for it straight off the cuff ; ) in saying that i know youll be just fine. Im looking forward to next years big comps there will be a few more clay artists there so it will be an eye candy feast for us...... yaa but yer anubis....... i can only imagine what magic youll roll together for your scene....... ive been looking round for steampunk parts for you but alas there is not much up here at all... the closest i got was $2 shop small travel clocks.....you could smashim up and use the bits right? hmmmmmm still chuckeling over your biddy belly dancer scraps...snigggggggggggger im so glad your show went so well. Tails that art doll show down in masterton do you know if you have to attend with table to enter the comp? hmmmmmmmm i forgot to ask at the show. rar id love to do that show to. bit of a hike away tho but would be a heck of a lot of fun its sole art dolls. my favs www.artmajeur.com/debbieschramer/ just magic stuffs.. ***Just make it work people............. Tim Gunn ( project runway )
