What a fantastic day that'll be.. ;D and.. oh for the invention of a teleporter... I'm looking forward to meeting you Fantail, and anyone else, so much fun.. I only get to 10mins with the unsuspecting who make the mistake of asking me what I'm up to these days... Haha. I was pleased to inform my family that I'm not as mad as they think, that there are others like me out there... I'll be forever grateful to Bll for mentioning this forum on Trademe, and thereby starting me on this crazy journey with you all. I'm pleased your migraine has eased off Blue... and glad the baby legs are coming along, I thought they were perfect anyway. I'm off to play with my treasures again... ;D and Blue the marionettes are happier with the sanding sponges rather than the grinding tools I was subjecting them to.. and I put pink pearlex on their lips and eyelashes on (temporarily) to see what they looked like, hehe I can't wait to hear from Anubis... *edited coz I had more to say...

So glad it went well otherwise, hope it's even better today for you... Blue those eyelashes with the clear thread will be awesome, providing I do a neat glue job... they will look so real. LAFF MY BUTT OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
years ago in a last life where i actually had a normal job in a shop. my boss was addicted to Christmas charols ( which i despise with a passion) i swear to god i must have heard snoopys christmas and that red barron crud a good 800 times.......... to the stage i was ready to turn this mild mannered individual into a kamakazi rage and smash that thang rip that tape out and send it flying across the mall. unfortunately the mall music was just as bad FACEPALM you can glaze off from it for only so long...... we are feeling for ya Anubis
well the oven is heating up and this clay gets its last bake....... I just cant do any more to them now. its really just the smallest fill lines and such but they will show in silicone and want to get the best finish possible. urg URG almost there alllllllllmost.
an No Donna i wouldn't laff at your stick legs and spindle hoops Donna dont worry. good grief youve seen my room with limbs on sticks, chopped off faces hands and feet and naked doll parts hanging round the place. nothing can shock me now.....NOTHING Im actually looking forward to watching the progress like the rest of us. sitting like a kid with big eyes waiting for the next installment... I think what your doing is a really cool idea and im sure your girls will just look fab by the time youve thrown yoru magic into them.
its not always just about the sculpting is it. there is carving, sanding the engineering and structuring etc inventing colourings etc etc etc
anyhow........... any time tails is perfectly fine honestly. Im just stoked to be able to have you over here to start with : ) GRIN
gotta dash xR

Hope the bake went well Blue... LOL at the Christmas carols, not for me either.. At the worst job I EVER had they played opera on the radio all day, no offence if you like it..but I HATE it aaarrrgh..I was only there a few weeks!!!! I've been weeding today, I thought you might like to see some photo of my Hippeastrums..I beat the snails to them this year... I have to find a way to cover the eye-screw hinges on the marionettes.. which will still allow them to move...hmmm, theres not many images etc on the web and most a wooden. I found these ones, they're well done... amcreatures.webs.com/marionettespage2.htmsee how the legs are stumpy though, I was contrary and mine look like daddy-long-legs.. Anyway I need to keep looking for a way..yeah Blue it's not a straightforward process is it, off to scout the web..

That's terrible Bll, Hope your through heals up beautifully or you might just get your bad throat record to have the tonsils removed
I agree those flowers are beautiful
Sorry I hadn't shared the tip earlier Blue, just thought of it. I think she uses such a little amount of TLS that it doesn't take long to set- not sure if its diluted and I have no Idea what the finish is like or if liquid Fimo will also work as I know it sets softer then normal polymer clay - slightly rubbery I won't be sure if its the best cure for scratches in clay till I've tried it

Evening all... Bll I'm sad to hear you are suffering again, so unfair. The only consolation is you can hopefully have them removed soon. All the best for a quick recovery this time Oh Blue I cant believe those legs.. Those lashes are expensive, (and you gave them to me) they really are beautiful though. Your garden is gorgeous.. You should see Blues roses..sigh The hippys are on show for such a short time and usually the mongrel snails get them, did you notice my little cat Levi hiding in one of them.. How did the day go today Anubis? I must buy some TLS 'Night x

Well thats another one done and dusted Not to bad of a weekend not the best but ok. On Saturday I had a friend bring me a flask of freshly made real cappuccino ( she made it and brought it down before opening the shop ) Then I had the ones who have started a collection of my pixies come in and get there new friends...always nice to see and a bit of a head swell if I do say so myself. ;D Today was very slow not alot of people buying but then my stuff is not really the norm for this market Then I was talking to a very nice tiger about starting an alternative market so we decided that we should look into this and get the muso's involved and create a market more suited to us non normals........ ............. did you know that it is quite hard to hold a serious conversation with a person who has their face and arms painted like a tiger with bright white pink and purple hair, was most interesting. The hair didnt phase me Iv had that myself a few times it was the face paint keep thinking of TIGGER. LOL ( She has a face painting stall and is very good with alot of arty connections.... handy ) And yes they played the same 7 song cd but today one of the stall holders brought her pet magpie who love to sing the tune to happy birthday. Not the whole song just half of it over and over and over. Then I got another coffee delivery was so nice...... Then I had two ladies fighting over the red belly dancer nether had the money on them so it was a race to go to an atm and back again this was at 3.15 the market closed at 4. Happy to say that the belly dancer now has a new home. Was an interesting day if not overly financial.

biddys scrapping over the belly dancer
ROFLMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
hilarious.
so tigers' music; magpies. scraps, sounds like a typical day in the mad house HAHA well done you well done. bet yoru glad its over now you can throw up yoru feet for a tad''
NCEA starting today oh joy. best of luck to all the kids today
Bll awwwwwwwwwwwwww honey get well soon. huggs get well or else. x
tails i think your right about the finish consistency ( been thinking on this half the night) i have used it to apply hair before.and it usually goes a tad shiny it would make a different painting serfice so maybe thinned and applied very fine it would be ok for moulding but i dotn know how the genesis would take to it. will have to give it a go anyhow . ill give it a whirl on this next limb set and see.
need to do some gardening now the roses are up but the best is yet to come and if i want to see them all pretty id best remove the cooch grass and numerous weeds fast. oops. usually leave it till the spring iris have died down then go nato on the weeds for summer.
have some non clay things to get threw today...... how boring and the weather sux.
sulk.
have a fabulous one ladies catch you latters

Good morning all... Hilarious times at the market Anubis LOL LOL. Great idea to start your own-style market, especially before Xmas. Your dolls would make the perfect presents for all ages, I don't think too many are thinking Xmas at this stage. It's wonderful you are developing a client-base of collectors too. ;D Thinking of you Bll... Fantail what are you working on at the mo'? Blue all the best to your two for their NCEA exams.. Thankfully Jesse is only year 10, so next year for him..just as well with his broken hand..aaaannnnd he came home last night from his trip away with a major stomach bug/food poisoning. So I've been up ALL night with him..eeewwww!!! Don't know what this Zombie will get up to today, hopefully some clay-work... when the child sleeps... Have a great day everyone...

LOL that would make you proud to have two people fighting over your wonderful creation ;D Sounded like a great day indeed
BLue will 1.30pm -3.30pm be ok What do we bring? Will it just be a chat or do you think we will get time to play with clay? So many questions Hope you do get some time off from the non-creative stuff

Blue..I looked up TLS and Genesis combo for you... It mentions using these in combination on Glass Attic and Katherine Dewey uses the two together. Polymer clay express suggests mixing TLS with flesh coloured genesis together to create a 'slip' for filling joins cracks etc... sounds like another experiment coming up...

But your more thank welcome to bring clay and play i dont mind one bit. maybe Donna can bring her puppets and we can oogle over them to Ive written to lindi hope it gets threw but if not and LINDY if you get on here doll WE WANT YOU !!! muhahahaha todays non clay time is done and dusted and OMG what a boreing world it is out there some days when one isnt looking at clay things or things to use with clay or.........everyones walking round with their heads down and mouths so sad....... CHEER UP PEOPLE ! just the one for ncea here today the other works, so there is quiet again at least. feeling a little better about the mismatched limbs today. ill get the other legs right....God help me. shucks. now the genesis has sunken in the colours looking a little.muddy buggerie it all. but im done with it......rar NEXT ! oh and thanks for that donna that actually makes better seance to mix the two tls and g together ... yer baby its just the soft ridges from filling and the odd scratch that runs deep that i try and hide/fill/sand out rarrrrrrrr maybe this way it will give it a more polished finish off the batt. i just cant do it yet first round. anyhowzzzzzz off to find a pirate ship......... and maybe start a leg or two ; ) have a wonderful day ladies xR
