It feels like the answer is just there but I can't get to it. Can't wait to see what you make once you get that BJD book If you aren't in the zone it might not help to tackle the limbs, I have to work on the story some more but its hard to see what improvements it needs you can send me the limbs if you want but its the length and width of the body that will depend on how the onsie fits - Unless you want me to make a body for it, which I can do. but I'll still need the neck circumference and whether its just a lying down baby (floppy) or a baby that can sit too Just saw this on a nother site www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThjyeldFyNI&feature

now that is utterly fascinating i totally absorbed it thanks so much.
cracked up at the big box of sheep faces.... love his curly designed woolly body to tee hee cute stuff
love how they just poped the armature into the body waalaa its done. gees as for carving up all that polystyrene man it must be a mess but oh looked so totally cool ....... was amazed at how large the scene was tho id expected it to be a small window box type setting.
fascinating........ thank you
managed to sort the feet out........ just had to sit down and do it. must be a little procrastonatoritis disease in me today ; ) eventually got the limbs all baked also. and a tad of sanding. more sanding needed then last clay on. yaaa. theres just something i havent gotten quite right with feet yet ......hmmmmm i think my toes are still to small and soles to flat hmmm toe size compared to foot size hmmmmmm getting closer tho. these soles dont look like they are filled with cuts..YAAA got the hands posed quite nice.... then both hands well the fingers shifted a little while baking.....OMG Facepalm. got a little crack behind one knee also. GROAN but fixed it somewhat.
some days nothing comes easy.
but glad to have gotten this far with them so quickly the heads just need a very gentle sand in a couple of spots then when limbs are done i can paint. been experimenting with colours ( genesis ) asian skin tone. havent gotten that quite right yet. hmmm might have to mega search google for the answers...
ok enough board trolling for me today
have a wonderful one ladies
xR

They are all such cuties and I hope each will find a good home for Christmas I do love the gypsies and the pixies well all of them really Blegh I have some purple bear limbs and thought I'd use white fur for the body but to get a match- how many shades of white is there?

Thanks for the sympathy for the one with the broken wing fantail.. At the moment he thinks it's cool, but I give it a couple of days and he'll be sick of it, and I think I'll be needing the sympathy soon hehe. I like the marionettes again I'm actually looking forward to working with them now, just need time. I tweaked the eye-screw a half turn (!!) and now I think the legs will work You were both right ( as usual lol ) Blue, I've PM'ed you back..

;D guess who's been sitting at the table playing with all my new cool bits and bobs!!! ;D ....I'm 'supposed to be doing housework and gardening things hahaha. My thoughts have been with Anubis, everyone is going to LUV her new creatives, hoping she's having a fun day.. Blue, sorry to hear you have a migraine, I might not have helped with that lol, I really hope you feel better soon. The best part of my visit, as with this forum, is the opportunity to go crazy about everything clay with someone who has the same passion. Usually I have 10 mins max with anyone I know, then they start sneaking away, they just don't UNDERSTAND!!! hehe Admiring little treasures, describing hard-wrought experiments and results, oohing over fairy books, having a million idea's in your head to try.... I would love to spend more time with you Blue, I was looking forward to squishing the clay into your fairy moulds hehe, time just flew... I'm off to clean-up...I just have to walk past the table of bits n bobs first.... I hope everyone is having a wonderful day ;D
