;D Hello all.. No clay for me today, had a 3 hr wait at the hospital for x-rays today to then be told they weren't needed, then sent to physio for a new cast but sent away until tomorrow,, grrr whole lot of wasted time today. But Jesse got his learner license this afternoon so that was good..for him anyway, not so sure about ME though, aaargh now he'll be driving me around I passed your lovely comments on to Morgan, BIG smiles from her ;D Blue I used the panne velvet piece for the background photo... I thought her pieces deserved more than the usual outside table top Are you making biscotti Fantail..? I'm not allergic to nuts hehe Hmmm wonder what I can bring on Friday... Well I just got home, badly in need of caffeine...

well i did my experiment and I cremated it !!! i have not laffed to hard in a long as time. i burnt the poor little sucker to smithereens the tls and genesis does ok its a bit shiny it might fill the soft marks. i cant pick it off the clay at all snigger. seamed to work better in the spots you can see painted on thick but it might run before setting while baking. urg. i need to try this again.next time i shall pay attention ! anyhow........... i will lay out cloth gloves so you may touch *the book* na just kidding yes of course please do emurse yourselves it is way way cool. i have the English translation on the lappy also . but the pics are pretty self explanatory. Donna congrads to yoru son for passing his learners. I found the hardest thing being in the passengers seat as apposed to driving.... parked cars and all YIKERS then when they get restricted its......... need milk mum ? need bread ? anything from dairy? can i put air in ? need gas ? any excuse i tell ya. now it has its own car.........yee gods....... my nerves. all good tho. ok im off again.......... chins up lufflies its a beautiful day x Attachments:

Hmm thats an interesting little something... oh dear !!! Well lucky you tried it first coz I was going to try in on my girls faces. They have marks and scratches... as expected I guess, I took to them with a metal sanding bit . Maybe I'll go with acetone instead. I didn't fare any better with an experiment just now. I tried cutting into the limbs to form a *hmm don't know how to describe it... male/female type join that I could pin thru, cut a section out of the upper limb and the sides of the lower limb.... Anyway all the baked clay cracked off around it..... I don't know what I'm doing.. LOL.

It looks like an exotic shell Blue Oh dear - yeah cutting clay doesn't always end nicely I don't know why people enjoy driving I - really don't Ooh looking forward to the *book* (sparkle twinkle) That's very kind of you Donna I do think I should try the bus though and its not too far from there to Blues house. Ok Lots to do ...

Yup its a failed experiment im afriad ...as in I failed it lmao but im sure with one more try all will be well. it does now seam quite tuff and im sure it would work a treat..........bring on the next try : ) im not sure how much per volume to add diddnt add that much clay softener or paint but will troll threw glass attic and find out hmm Donna were you Genghis Khan's dentist in a past life? just kidding. your doing something so very complex but your still getting threw it and im sure your dolly will be just perfect by the time you are done. 20 points for perseverance : ) Now Bll has a handle on the metal burs and brushes with her beady thingies it might require a slower speed. BLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL !!! I dunno i either end up carving out holes or shattering moonie shapes into clay with the dremel. urg thats why i torture myself with sanding. Tails driving is just one of those things a a confidence thing etc it will all come with time it will. I have faith in you youll do it perfectly. oh and yes *the book* ( instant googly eyes) OH SIGH it really is fab now my daughter wants to give one a try to oh yes ive poured over every page. now if i can just get my printer to work i can print out the english subs ........my printer is possessed by a demon that only wants to communicate in lines........ but oh yes oh yes i love this book. the dollys made are 60 cm high GASP thats a BIG as doll. i fink we will be ooing and arring in unison as the pages turn youve probably seen this guy already www.mad-sculptor.com/ i did want to get his book but its only on the male form rarrrrrrrrrrr Anubis how are the trees coming along? Bll did you master the tutu ? ok im off xR

Blue - this is what it said on Polymer Clay Express "Genesis Flesh Tone Paints Create realistic flesh tones from these neutral base colors. Paint polymer figures or tint liquid Sculpey and use the mixture like a "slip" to hide seams between parts or to give your doll's skin a final porcelain-like surface." On Glass Attic it only mentions Katherine Dewey saying you can mix the two together. She was referring to 'buffing' Genesis. Just letting you know, seeing as I mentioned reading about it there... And yes I am a butcher of things Polymer clay... I forgot I had used the clay-match genesis on the faces... just a note to you all, acetone smears the heck outa genesis and makes a huge mess. Luckily Blue gave me some thinners, hopefully it will remove it. My fingers are twitching toward new dodgy-box with these *insert swear word here* marionettes.. if I wasn't so stubborn...

whhooooaaaa!!!!! The only bits i (usually) use on my rotary are cotton yarn or chamios - mostly cotton. AND with the lightest touch. any pressure and it grinds through. I would say you'd be better off try it by hand, scritch scritch scratch. drum roll please ... ... ... ... Forgot to put the headpiece on her darnit! Its just a green plait ring with 3 MORE flowers above the bun.

;D messaged you Fantail.. thank you for baking for us, you're so sweet. Yum..looking forward to it too, and meeting up with you both. I haven't got anything to bring, I've been going thru' craft stuff but..nothing!!! I can bring my haute doll books for you to look at... Things don't seem to be going easy for our crafting lately maybe it's because we all try experimental things... I'm kinda pleased you guys have the same problems as me (sorry ) otherwise I might have given up by now... Good results usually eventuate from the trials anyway, so it's worth it in the end. I haven't given up on the marionettes either.. I'll get something sorted. They were going to have removable clothes but now I will have some clothing permanently attached.. that will solve some of the probs.... that is until the sewing begins hehehe.. Have a great day...
