That's gorgeous donna. The painting and the rock. I still haven't gotten around to a frangipani cane - one day, along with all the other ideas. My throat is much better thanks for asking. Still a little tired but not so bad now. I NEARLY got to the clay yesterday with the kids being at the grandparents, but only got as far as starting to fight my way into my 'room' and polishing a couple of beads. its a start.

;D Hi everyone
Great to hear from you Bll, I'm pleased you are feeling a bit better. Wishing you a speedy recovery, nothing worse than feeling bad when you want to get on with things. I would LOVE you to make a frangipani cane when you can, how gorgeous that would be..all the best for feeling better.
Anubis, I forgot all about the plaster/cloth thingy you were up to... Now I'm all excited about what you did. Can't wait to see..speedy painting fingers....waiting....

Hi everyone...just popping in to say 'Hi' Hope all is well with everyone.. I bought the Avatar movie when it first came out on DVD..... I finally sat down and watched it tonight... what a fantastic movie, visually stunning, if you haven't seen it yet, you really should. I've stalled on working on the sprites, mainly because I was doubting myself. A couple of people weren't sure of the spots I painted on them, so I sanded them off... again! As much as I value their opinions, I've now decided to do them as I envisaged in the first place, soooo the spots will go back on!!! Haha.

;D Yep, like them or not...spotty sprites they'll be, hehe. I would like to have started on the wings, but I've lost the angelina film in my pig-pit workroom, no time to tidy it yet, its storage while I'm painting rooms . aaannd I can't start the cocoon/pods coz I need to fit them around the wings. Well I'm going as fast as I can on the house..2 weeks before family arrives from Aussie.. after that it's "all about clay, yay!!!! Great to hear from you guys...my sanity-savers fantail, are you going well with your competition piece?? Anubis, have you started anything new? and if bll and blue call in..howz it going?

Great to hear from you Bll. To get clay time you might need to do what I do..sneak off with your work and hide somewhere they can't find you...and when they do, you need to pull your best "pi$$ off" face at them. HAHAHA. Clay time is good for the soul....

Yeay can't wait to see, I like fantasy creatures I'm having the same dilemma, need to finish the paint before assembling before I can make clothes but its too cloudy to paint - so I'm working on base and props Making the clothes takes me terribly long so I might have to put the doll together soon, paint completed or not

oooh Griffens and drakes and things, how cool..I can't wait to see either You could put all sorts of creatures and themes into these...they will keep you amused for awhile I think. Oh fantail I wish you an easy-peasy time with your piece from now on, I honestly don't know how you do it (competitions), would be way too stressful for me. I'm boring today, no clay time , maybe later to paint the spots back on at least. Happy Clay Day people.

Thank you anyway fantail. I had a look at the tutorial Blue put up (patricia rose) and one on the Ooak guild plus a few others... I'll probably try using a heat gun. I just don't want to ruin the film... edited to add: WoooHooo!! just noticed I'm a Senior Member now ;D aaaand we're not talking AGE here people LOL
