Oh Blue that sounds wonderful... I would be very interested in having a look at it... but no hurry... Thank you heaps... but only if you will have no other use for it... ;D
And no sympathy for the stupid one who will never learn... I'll be cursing myself shortly when I start the clay.
Shoes will be fun...

is Bll upto her old tricks ? hmmmmmmmm I wonder Ive seen what that woman does to our text ! so anything is possible lmao Tails....... that link the work is utterly amazing. what a huge piece but wow man its so so very cute. really delightful. really just love so much about it wow and wow and wow. another one for the *when i grow up list* Donna yes i will get the boys up into the roof when they come home today. I know they are quite tuff little things cause i gave them heck before i used them to make sure they wouldn't kark it on me lol youll be able to smash them open and use the treasures in all manner of ways. I want to play with chemistry today but the weather outside is like Antarctica..........RARRRRRRRR so will be outside mixing = crazy and i have two new Iddy Biddy babies YAA but they are the mini iddy's so i struggle to do them in one hit. not being able to hold much while working i had them half wrapped in a bit of fabric to work on....lmao. they have no armature so you can imagine how much they squish around and get recked. lmao but watch for sonic booms today. somewhere around 10am id say HA and yer shoes........i have never been able to make good looking shoes .. but have seen a few tutorials where they use mini shoe lasts ( or wrap existing foot in wrap and make over it) but the soles you can make a one part push mould and just push clay they seam to work fine. did you know. you can actually bake clay inside a push mould if it is make from rtv silicone ( just put it on fiberfill) rtv had a melt heat of something like 220 cel might be easier to do this if the sole is curved id never get them out of the mould and baked in the same line otherwise. just basic but same fundamentals for all.... fashiondollshoes.blogspot.com/2009/05/mould-making-flat-soles-with-sculpey.htmlok im off. and its still pitch black........whoa. have a wonderful day ladies.... Hi lindi bi Bll Hi Anubis hi all......... do stop by. bbl

Yip definitely on the when I grow up list Those soles are fantastic I wonder if you could use that airdry clay you showed use if it is flexible enough then again just the sole before she made the mold looks quite good I have trouble sewing doubled fabric when making tiny shoes but that could just be my method
Hope the weather clears so you can make some magic Have a great day everyone

yer its quite simple but effective. but most of those shoes seam to be . fabric glued onto cardboard innersole then glued onto resin or clay etc sole. by the time im usually done with them they look like high heeled clog hoppers. hmmmmmmmmmm
well i got suction baby suction.... i just cant release it fast enough to get catalist out before it starts to set RARRRR.......... so need a separate release valve on the lid mez finks. i have one to i just cant find where i put it * facepalm* almost there.
covered one plastic mannequin head in air dry and other cut down to fit bjd heads....... ill make it firm and create some cardboard templates and make the hats on them i think will be easiest .... cause i have a feeling if i just padded the heads id end up sewing the hats onto them. im sure to catch in some stitching.......lmao please dont tell me i am the only living sole to sew something onto their sleve. DONT LAFF !
its going to be an interesting day lmao weather down here is dark and dingey and crud........... good day to complete some projects
what are you upto lindi ? anubis? hows the pendant coming along Bll ?

Morning you lot... What a wintery day here.. not cold but dark and dreary.. I have a big fat thumb... I didn't realise how much you use them...ouch! I still got the clay conditioned though...
I love those shoes, now I want to trawl the web for shoes... see told you Blue!... Making cute little shoes would be fun, 'specially for someone with a shoe fetish.. I got a new book!!! Donna Kato, and it has the fantasy shoes that were made for a competition ...SO cool!
I'm dreaming circus themes day and night... ;D Good luck with your mixings and sortings Blue...
I used to hand make mens hairpieces for a prominent co.. and I can't for the life of me remember all the technicalities of it... it was 30+ yrs ago mind you. It would be so helpful if I could work it out again..

Aww Bll thats a shame 'bout your pendant.. like Blue says, maybe you can pimp it, put some gold or silver leaf on or something.. bol with the other one.. Great going Blue, I hope it dries quickly so you can have a play. Thanks heaps for the link to Guilty, I showed the clip to friends who were over... We loved it... priceless.. Fantail I think Denver was trying a cheesy smile to get himself out of trouble... absolutely love him... Thanks for you concern over fat thumb...its really annoying. It could have been worse tho' so I've vowed to be more health and safety conscious from now on... Hope you're having luck with the kitty limbs Fantail... I had another look at the shoes too, they are really great.

;D yer right is about right... I'll soon forget and it'll be another crazy action...
I was going through my shoe collection recently putting some aside to donate when I remembered seeing a tutorial Katherine Dewey did for the alligator shoe in that book. So I've kept some back so I can do something fun with them... one day.. I'll find the tutorial and put a link up, its really neat.
I'll definitely bring the book when we catch up...
I've made the head bases ready for baking.. ;D

It looks like the formula tins are entirely tin but there might be something similar out there that you could use - I'll keep looking Blue if the black and white kitties turn out too big/chunky, what would you think of seal point (cream and brown) Only if they don't fit of course
