also this box idea........... would look fine with a snifty label on it and easy to cut to size etc. most simplistic but would still look clean and tidy. dont laff but. i was wondering if a roll of good thick vinyl wallpaper would cover card well. just for some texture or something i dunno might look better just plane white tho a... I now have a big dirty rain cloud following me and my paintbrush around... Haha..I did notice you have been on the top of the page lately... What do you mean about rough... those shoes are cool as... WELL DONE YOU... thanks for showing... They really are so good, you'll need to made matching ones now... Hope mine look half as good... Box idea is really good and yes you can stick vinyl wallpaper to it... but... it might be a bit thick to handle... What about seeking out a pkt of pretty serviettes, there are some gorgeous one around... quick paint with watered PVA and stick them on.. no need to be smooth either it looks better if its slightly textured.. and you can overlap... just a thought...

hey now thats a really good idea with the tissue. effective. pretty. nice texture ( slightly imperfect etc) inexpensive. hmmmmmmmm good thinking agent 333 hmmmmm could go grab a bunch of butterfly ones would do the trick i guess youll pull them apart most seam to be in two sheets a tissue square? and the pva would work like that modge podge and sorta seal it in a ?
and yer the shoes are just quickies really honestly there isnt more than a pea size more of clay to them. but they are kinda cool i really like them. think they need to be slightly smaller tho. i thought they would be much more complicated but they arent at all youll be surprised. the trouble with it really is what to hold while you work it. fun tho.

Fabric would be less messy.. but I like serviettes, I use them on lots of things... remember the cross I quickly decorated for SIL, the butterfly on that was cut from a serviette. I could have painted it, but time was short and it looks great...
Slap the glue (watered) on the box, on with the tissue, when its dry another slap of glue over and waalaah... Modge-podge if you have it.. but they're all fancy names for polymer glue really.. PVA... and priced up for the name...
I'll help... ;D

Brrrr its cold this morning Once I finished the arm I still have leg tail and 6 ears to cut and sew then its on to cream cat's body and limbs - I'm obsessed Well if you do get another and your old one shows up you can always sell the one to me when I finally pop over
Ugh I still can't find the clown drawing and I have this fuzzy idea swimming around my head that keeps getting more and more complicated.

;D Morning everyone... Just had another look at your little shoes Blue.. so very cool. Did you not see the hammers then! I thought you might have gone there for it... bugga! I would have bought you one, and Fantail... He had a black spike... but only one.. and he said no more to come.. Do you think if I put superglue gel on the metal - then clay - that it would stick to it? You are genius to think of them Blue.. it'll be perfect that you can screw the back onto the front..thanks heaps ;D Fantail my sister used to joke about how there was always a big cloud sitting over the old witches house (mine)... wish it wouldn't. Are you going to make any little shoe earrings Fantail?.. just to add to your long list of 'to-dos'.. I hope you do coz your the queen of tiny.

yes i did go there specifically to look for one and no i did not see them. i must be blind. lmao but yup ill have to have one its driving me crazy ... im amazed how often i use a little hammer. hmmmmmm its a tad bit of a concern really. i can bet my last bar of polymer clay that i shall find my old one as soon as i get a new one.....guarantee it in fact. so its yours tails so glad the spikey thingies worked out ok. they are kinda cool to be honest. cant wait to see your shoes. im gonna make some proper ones when time permits. i cant stop thinking about them daughter was telling me of new craze to stick spiked small plastic studs ( like small mini bindi domes but spiked) to their lips with gel WTF just when i was getting use to ear stretchers they go do this to my poor old fragile mind. spiked lips? well i never. if its any help a lot of the $2 shops have the body spikes and things..so you might find interesting needful things at other places..... the one down by kmart has a lot to. tails... 6 ears........ that there just blows my mind. and as we speak im drawing up a black and white kitten dress with kitty face pockets... cant quite sort the shoes tho -not yet but almost. funny sorta curve around the front of the toe hmmmmmm they will look smashign together SMASHING I SAY> ! www.molendrix.com/galerie1.htmlsome nice doll dress patterns. ok i am off and my name is Double trouble ;D bbl

Obsessing about the earrings... I thought I'd try on the spike to see how it would sit... I dropped it down the plug hole... I might use that little hammer to bash myself on the head.... Honestly.... Blue.. at least they're only sticking the spikes on their faces I guess.. imagine if she pierced it... Good luck with all the tiny kitty projects you two, neat costumes on that link... I think I'll just slink off and find something to do that wont destroy something or hurt me... ;D

Awwwww Donna its probably stuck at the bottom of the S bend. if you take that bit of spouting out youll probably be able to grab it. Im starting to think you have my sorta luck WINK go blow that old dark cloud away ( just not down the hill or ill swish it with my broomstick good and proper) yes i got me a new hammer. im so sick of searching for the other. now i will find it. its sorta different from the other but same in theory. just a light little thing but perfect for mini stuffs. and also got a pair of pliers with a circle groove that might be helpful for holding beads. ovens heating up to cook up my last butterfly baby YAAAAAAAAAAAAA its worked out a little larger than planned so would have to be rotocaste NOT A PROBLEM I SAY. Im sure we have had that dress pattern link here before but its a good standard sorta a thing to have floating around. Just wait till you see the patterns i got from Japan....OMG mini corsets and all. DROOL. anyone can make a pattern, but the true art is in fitting it to suite, knowing how to shape all those darts and tucks how to trim here and there without blowing out all the lines. urg its so hard. You have my admiration tails.

OH NO! Ugh I despise it when that happens. Hope you find some more Donna I do have that costume link book-marked its fantastic and one day I'll do more then gawk at it Sound cute Blue, can't wait
I am very curious about dolly shoes the dome front never works so I'm thinking if you make a little shoe cap for inside that can be glued to the material but not sure if this would make the shoe to big 6 ears for three heads; two heads to choose from for one body; two sizes when you look at it t comes to nothing much I have another idea for the cat paw pad but with six parts I don't want to remake them and now I'm thinking of making a dark brown cat too and I haven't even finished these

I don't love the fitting part the finished part yes Mini corset patterns sounds great you can try to pin the pattern on your doll there was a helpful seminar at the show about patterns that fit though its based around their patterns basically pinning the pattern to the doll and then taking in the darts is a useful tip I'm certainly no pro at it
can't wait to see your butterfly baby
and as for queen of minis - nope I just make it small so you can't see the mess hehe

could you needle felt the little paw pads into that fabric? I love cat paws. awwww
actually a firm toe cap attached to the innersole or something is a jolly good idea. everything seams to pucker around that point its quite hard to sorta keep things in the right places . trickery and trickery

There are already pink toes but not the foot pad bit - you'll see when I take more photos I will have to have the right colour wool to mach and that is harder to find then my left socks

HA !!!!!!!!!! absolutely. matching shades. GROAN
was like that when i was trying to match ribbons for fabric everything was like shades out. to green or to blue or to yellow etc so ended up just going with blends and shades of rather than matching.
Dont talk to me about sox lady i have sons. you have no idea the sheer amount of sox packs ive had to buy in my time to accommodate their surfboard feet.... where the heck do they go.! ?
butterfly baby is almost baked threw and now i have decided i do not like the hands ill chop them off and replace them. I have got to stop working like this and just do things right the first time GROAN LOUD AT SELF

I had another look and I can still fit the foot pad in to the toes if I sew it right Will change pattern for 2mm more room next time I sew it again Two words -Sock monster chopping off hands - scary hehe surfboard feet If we could do it first time we wouldn't enjoy it so much matching is over rated, blends can look a lot better I have trouble with white fur, there is a million shades now I'm veering off fur and looking at other materials to match the white

Well my plumbing attempt is over... I got the bottom part off but I couldn't budge the upper join... tried wrenching with various (inappropriate) tools, stupid hurting thumb didn't help.. but I have to concede defeated... I'll get the Man onto it tonight...luckily we have 2 bathrooms. Half a day later... huge waste of time.
I cant wait to see corset patterns etc.. actually I cant wait to have a finished piece to clothe and make shoes for... LOL..
How did the bake go, what a shame you don't like the hands now.. How are the kitty paws now, and limbs and baby heads..
I hope you find your clown picture Fantail... I know what you mean about ideas spinning out of control though, I have to keep reigning in my grand ideas and remember what I'm capable of..
Well have fun you two...

OMG Donna i feel so bad i shouldn't have suggested it. maybe *the boy can give it a good wrench when he gets home for you ... so sorry im gonna hush up my IDEAS now grin and will go sit in the evil naughty corner which is that way -----> But. before i hush............... dont laff but. a good notebook to write down all your ideas and trickery does actually help. youll end up with 500 diffy things youll want to make but it will help you work things threw, give note of things you might need etc. draw pictures etc the rest is simply terminal im afraid. waking at 3am with the magic recipe for something or other ... not being able to look at a broken motor or wiry something without it being a potential tool or.or.... even looking at different people features etc. we all do it. tails... your so right. blending- its all about blending and like Tim says Flicks fingers * make it work* as for 2 mm of fabric i just have nothing to say on that how can you even work that lady ? hands are chopped. i never liked them anyhow and knew it before i baked it to be honest i just thought id get away with it. but the wing encasement is perfectly fine
