Not your fault on the plumbing attempt Blue, the thought was already there... you just gave me the encouragement.. hehe.. really are other kiwi girls the same as westie woman I wonder.. Fantail my most beautiful black & white cat Levi has fur like VELVET... Notebook sounds a good idea, but whats the bet we couldn't find it when we needed it.. and I agree EVERYTHING is a potential tool, sculpt idea... * wish I wasn't at the top of the page..

LMAO yup yup yup
that good old No8 wire mentality. i think its an artform that is slowly slipping away. I use to think it was a farm girl sorta a thang. I know half the new mums around here wouldn't even be able to correctly label a vegetable lineup if they tried let along fixing anything. yee gods. not much need when most things seam so disposable these days.......sigh.
and yer i have gone threw two visual diarys and onto my third. big hard covered A4 books. doodles and ideas and lists and combination of ideas and mind mapping sorta thangs. and also a super mini blank notebook for my bag cause im always seeing cool things that can be sketched quick as when im out places. or people tell me names of products etc i cant ever remember without writing down. or getting them to write down lmao
hope the boys is ok. seams to be a bug going around.......rarrrrrrrr at dat bug
your cat sounds so pretty can i have him ? kidding

Its more like 5mm forgot seam allowance No soft toy can compete with a real cat I can image he is so silky smooth
I have other things to get onto but I did cut out the leg and tail and am cutting some more parts for the cream cat Still have to trial ear before I cut the rest I have a clear folder that I stick scraps of paper with drawings in when I think of them but it doesn't always make it in there

I deleted his drama, I picked him up anyway... and resigned myself to a messed-up non productive day... ;D Hmm notebooks do sound a good idea, It would be better than the screeds of print-outs, scraps of paper and scribbles I currently have. Levi is really only beautiful to me.. hes actually a scaredy, slinky little guy with a strange half white face... LOL love him. But he does have fur like velvet. How did you two go with the projects today, did you get far...? Later on I'll try gel gluing the dukit to the spike and baking it... I'll let you know how it goes..

;D Oh well I did get some outside painting in after all.. I've sanded the spikes and have a thin clay sheet but I've just realised how very small these shoes are going to be.. and I was going to try to make Bll proud by making a sheet of leopard print using a little cane for spots, but reality has set in now. Maybe I could paint spots on instead.. btw I have 2 pair of spikes when the other one is fished out... I have 3 holes in each ear so I could make a shoe shop really LOL I also need to cut the tops off the stud part... that could be a whole 'nother drama... I'm really looking forward to your pics Blue...

I think your cat is beautiful - you have a tuxedo cat. What colour is his eyes Glad you were productive I had to bake some plane cake just sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar but added some of those dried cherries and hazelnuts and instead of coconut I added some almond meal wonder if it will be a good change I don't think there is anything wrong with painting the spots and I think it will look cool if you have three sets of shoes in your ears - that sounded odd Hope you get the other spike out Can't wait for the pics blue

here is the butterfly baby( similar to what i was doing years ago with huge cane wings). I know it does not look like much but when painted up would be very cool. its body is 3 inch so a big size. would have to be hollow caste resin or solid forton gypsum and the trio to show diffy sizes of the iddys..lmao. I must be MAD ! sounds like everyone has had a productive day in a backwards busy strange sorta a way ; ) Attachments:

Awe your butterfly baby is very cute and great to see them togheter No I have never tried it but then I've never made a white chocolate cake either Its hard to experiment with too many fussy people and allergies etc I sewed the tail tip to the wrong end of the tail - to tricky to undo, easier to just cut a new tail Donna it looks like your cat has its own picture frame

Oh cakes with cinnamon & sugar and pomegranate and white chocolate...yum!!! The iddys are so very cute, butterfly baby is fantastic... its lovely how the wings wrap around. Oh and 3" is certainly not big, thats small as, what tiny little iddys then.. how do you two work that small *shakes head Haha Tuxedo cat, it does look like that, his eyes are gold really. Hes naughty... Actually Blue I'm nervous about starting the shoes now, I think it will be trickier than I thought. Mike fished out the spike while I was at the hospital... yay... How annoying about the tail Fantail, you've been doing heaps of stitching. They will be so cute when you've finished.. I really want to make time tomorrow to do some clay work... it's been days now.. some on the faces and some on shoes...

Awwwwwwwww Donna its honestly not as hard as youd think. putting the shapes together is quick. any time spent is in the fine detailing ( which i never did)
your going to do great really you will. Im so glad Mike rescued the spike was he muttering under his breath something about woman and pipes and why do they do these things ?
Tails that sounds very nice . well done being able to accommodate allergies etc that makes things quite tricky for you. My oldest was gluten and nut allergic so that make things tricky enough for me so I can understand. and so sorry to hear about the tail tails to be honest that sounds like something i would do. and yer sometimes it is easier just to start the piece again rather than sit and pick pick pick and wreck the fabric anyhowz.
have yourselves a fab day : )

I was hoping Bll might know if PC would be okay inserted into ears too... my nephew has some ear things and they are fine, they looked like PC to me. The other guy and his girlfriend made their own (happened to her too) but maybe they didn't seal them.. also you can get those plastic posts to put on stems too...
Bll do you know??
[/quote] Not for sure, but I have seen Fimo plugs for sale on Trade Me, you know the things that stretch ur piercings. (yuk imo)

Oh so he does... coool... Fantail I've not had raisins in banana cake before, sounds like it would be nice tho'... I haven't started the shoes yet.. and I will try not to overthink it, keep it simple and fun..sometimes just believing it will work out will make it happen ay.. *have confidence woman lol. Damien and his Dad are on their way so I will ask them which is the best way to cut the stud top off, I'm thinking a cut-off wheel on the dremel tool but I'll take their advice. If I make any more.. I'll try and find spikes with a flattish stud top, will be perfect. I'm looking forward to seeing the bird you made Fantail, is it like origami? What are you up to Blue? Hi to our guests today... Have a great day everyone.. ;D

So we were forced to be good and stay out of mischief today then... did you get to figuring the moulds in the end? for me..another day and no clay Damiens coming back over and he offered to cut off the studs for me... yay!!! I'd probably pierce my eyeball with ricocheting stud or something... Otherwise I'm boring today and have nothing else to say... ;D

;D How wonderful.. what a lovely bird... well done you. That looks like a fun book too. Hope you had a good day today Fantail, as you can see we were well behaved today... ;D I've pm'd you a query.. I went ahead and tried to cut the stud myself ... I know!!! but it broke all the cutting discs I had... I think they were too thin so I'll have to get more or try something else...

My boys like origami so they would probably like that book, and it would keep them quiet for awhile.. Mike said the discs I used weren't for that sort of cutting.. I need the disc grinder. One of them will do it I'm sure.. then I can start the shoes.. Ex was really interested in the polymer clay and my few projects, so that was good. He thought it was a fantastic medium and was genuinely interested in how it was to use. Its alway fun being able to chat about it to 'new' people that want to hear...LOL..

yer those cut off wheels would snap off and fly off Id say youd need a good old pair of tin snips or wire cutters and watch eyes for flying parts. Im pretty sure they are made from SS ? a big pair of wire cutters should slice it nicely tho. a proper big ol disk grinder would be ideal to be honest. but please please get some good grippers to tightly hold that earring or it will fly right out your hands and youll probably hurt yourself or smash threw a window somewhere. and if all else fails COVER YOUR EYE TAILS AND DO NOT READ ON !! (((Dangerous activity warning))) use a good OLD chisel and hammer and belt that end right off. go on do it you know you want to for your dremmel you need a *tungsten steel bur* to grind down any remaining sharp edges of metal. and yer being forced into good behavior. what the heck i say so unfair. but i did make a start on the moulds last night. fluffed with the vacuum and have lost a little suction with the new release valve DASH IT. im talking 2 bar which is nothing but will reseal it up again with some electrical thread tape repoo it and waalaa all will be well. so todays tasks are.... finish the 10 inchers mould for silicone and get the head and one half of limbs poured make a start on the BJD moulds for resin drink coffee, play with cats and keep you lot in tones of mischief its a beautiful calm still day and its so warm. yaa Now tails. im really stunned with the wee paper bird its so adorable I wonder how many paper birds i could fit in the studio HA what a neat neat neat thing tho well done you. www.google.co.nz/images?hl=en&q=kirigami&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1366&bih=531down a big on that page is a cat on a stool. WICKED ! I have a dollhouse book with pages that pop out. a bit like this sorta stuff. not as nice by any means thats for sure. daughters done some of this stuff in graphics - really quite tricky knowing which way to score and bend etc but so very effective. I just love how we all find these cool thingies to play with. thanks so much for showing tails its so cool. bbl with coffee and with any luck... some mischief xR

Oh look at all the pretties there.. oh wow..lots of cool ones, luv the butterflies. I have had the boys make the dove one for xmas when they were younger, and I used to buy them a lot of pop-up books - just because I liked them so much.. bookmarked for further oggling later.. Some ideas would be good to make using thin PC... okay thats enough..NO distractions for me. re studs.. yep 'dangerous activity' was my next move Blue...LOL, thankfully Mike took control when he saw the tools I had lined up, one pair now ready... just need time now but the mind is still ticking.. Blue you have a huge line-up for today, I hope all goes well with it all - you'll certainly have no time for mischief will all that to get through. Lindi have you had a chance to make any of your stunning sculpts lately? Bll do you get the pendant finished yet? Wheres Anubis I wonder! What are you doing Fantail? Hi to our guests, we'd love you to say hello... Be good... or careful.. and have a fun day..
