I tried the transparency for printers, but the ink forms globs and does not dry. Then tried glossy photo paper but the irises disappeared during baking. What transparency do you use Lindi? *help please*

I printed irises on normal photo paper for detail, then I took it to the photocopy place and they colorcopied it onto plastic transperency for $2 a sheet. Not bad for 100s of lil eyes! hehe

here you go kimmie ;D this was from richard smith for around $90 but you can get them alot cheaper without all the other attachments. The transperency sheets are the ones that are used for overhead projectors at schools and things. just A4 plastic sheets. every copyshop of warehouse stationary. hope this helps ;D

Havent ordered any fimo gel yet but am going to wait till I see if I can get the mini blow torch otherwise its a bit pointless I guess. LOL I thought you were just being posh saying Richard Smith.

Im not too sure if it can also just blow out heat not flame. I think that if it only just does flame you might be risking too much heat. have you tried ringing hardware shops, supercheap autos, repco if you have them there? Ill have a look on trademe for you too.

I have one but I really don't like to use it. I filled it and after 10 minutes of so I lit it, and as I increased the flame it suddenly had a little cloud of flame allover. gave me a bit of a fright. Can those things explode or something. Hope yur ones work better. Ah, and welcome full member Lindi ;-)
