No it doesn't have a strong smell. I've used it for lots of different projects, very clear, wonderful stuff. I just haven't heated it before. I would think it was easier to gloss after finishing the whole piece myself, but I'd like to try baking it to see how it goes. I'll take photos of the process for you when I can get to it. I like it when others trial things for us, makes life easier, lol. Off track... but heres the link for the trial of the liquid clays... www.garieinternational.com.sg/clay/shop/liquid_polymer2.htm(I have to keep editing my posts for mistakes..I'm so exhausted right now, LOL)

What does the container say its not flammable or toxic is it Only do it if you think its safe
There was a beautiful tutorial on how to make glass like eyes using fimo but I never heard if she had trouble with the eyes afterwards
Its a lot of work to get one good pair of eyes - hit and miss type of thing I would get them clear but after they were baked in the doll's head they would go cloudy if its the oven or contact with raw clay I'm not sure I tried painting gloss over the cloudy eyes but they only stay clear till the gloss dries I'm weary about using a heat gun on the completed doll
