;D Thank you fantail, I'll definitely try that way... Thanks so much for putting that together for me... you're an angel ^A^... It looks like I'll find it much easier to work with the wire with this method... Just one more question tho'... did you need to make the armature a bit bigger to start with.. to allow for the twisting? Anubis.. awesome stuff, I'm very excited about the pixie house, speedy hands for finishing the little figures... ;D

Ooh how exciting that the pixie house is finished and that you already made a figure to go in it can't wait to see
If you look at the pic the loops over the pins are not tight so there is plenty of wire for the twisting and you want the wire fingers shorter then the hand you wish to make so you don't end up with little dots at the end of the fingers where the wire shines through or bits sticking out of the end, which I still often get I also pinched the finger tip's loop closed

Last day tomorrow Bll... ;D Kind of, still have to turn up mon tues next week for prizegivings and staff farewells. Last teaching day anyway. I have made christmas puds out of mallowpuffs, white choc, jaffas and green wine gums (couldn't find any spearmint leaf lollies) for the little darlings as well as the old m&m rice bubble treats. We will play trivia games. educational of course. Bubba (ok he's 4n1/2) was throwing up @ childcare today so I guess I'll be taking him with me.

Katie got a big art pad 1/2 price pretty much it He will stay in that place but it is cash only as no phone line or effposs for three months. no tools tho-yet quite limited stock but thats understandable. lots of bargins really but youll have to really really clean them well as smoke does a lot of damage surpose to be claying it today but ahem im busy with other projects .... really creating much more mess then anything at the moment sniggggger oops katies making chocolate truffles and i am hovering in the kitchen waiting to pounce she has perfected the chocolate brownie yee gods my ever expanding waste-lines in trouble GROAN hope your all having a terrific day xR

Well I did end up going to Geoffs after all... my fingers were black with soot at the end.. it was sad to see alright. I bought a pad of canvas's and oil paints, plastic wrapped so they were fine. Morgan got leaf shaped glass beads. I don't like biscuits and cakes.... unless they are homemade, then I eat the whole batch, seriously... so I don't bake often. All your baking sounds very tempting... Fantail, my Man talks about 'biscotti' all the time now (he'd never had it before)... he wants to know when I'm going to see you again LOL and said to tell you if you go into the business of making and selling biscotti - he'll be your first customer.. ;D I'm going to ignore my messy house and go put some clay on the armatures...

LOL I'm sure there are people who make better biscotti then me, let alone commercially It is quite time consuming and I thank you for the beautiful compliment it makes it worthwhile I'll try to make some next time. Which do you prefer ginger or chocolate? Dipped in chocolate I think you need to keep them in the fridge it was to hot here and it melted Maybe I should post the recipe sometime soon then he can try yo make it for you Enjoy working with some clay

I avoided cleaning by going out and doing some xmas shopping.. getting a bit crazy out there now, people and traffic everywhere. I called in to a sallies shop for crafty bits and found 2 doll mags, one had an article on Jewel Lewis.. You're right about the smoothing Blue, my fat fingers have been relegated to tool holding only... the gum massager and quill are good.. thanks for those you two.. Making hands is quite tricky isn't it.. and just when I get them right I will have to squash them again into a pose..hmmm. Fantail, I bought the resin at mitre10 ( a store that has closed down now), I'll check out the local stores and see if they stock it, if you have trouble finding it. Oh well no cleaning-goblin came while I was out, so off I go... ;D

;D LOL at you Blue... I am actually thinking of making a micro-mini BJD after these girls. After finding it so easy to sculpt 4 hands for a 10inch, I thought I was up to it.... ;D.....NOT!!!!! LOL.
I'll look out for the paint blenders..thanks Fantail. I'm sure everyone enjoyed your yummy cake.
Hands are coming along okay, I had to add more clay to them coz you could see the wire in some places, but they are nearly finished.
I haven't got too much time to sculpt at the moment, I have left them on the table and do some when I can... I'm sure its the same for you all too at this busy time.

*I am actually thinking of making a micro-mini BJD after these girls*. OMG You seriously have lost your mind !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
COMMONNNN we have already decided that its tails that shall be elasticating that one !!!!!!!!!!!
Ive got to make hands soon also I will use your way of twisted wire tails as normally id just use one wire stick and it always pokes threw URG. maybe the twist will hold the clay better id say. if i work slow enough i might just be able to pull it off. if not then it will be another handorama
busy week ahead for all i guess.
