muhahahahahahahaha............
love that production line...............omg........ that workload !!!
beautiful things tho ohhhhh yesssssssssss whats not to love!!!
as for crystal mountain ...oh god i love that place. remember all those crystal babies i started out making years ago ? they all came from crystal mountail as are most of the crystals in my place. i have to ban myself from going again until i have a need cause i always come away with some darn treasure i love but dont need. shame on me ; )
but look at all your photos OMG thats totally wicked.
Daughter spotted the ninja bread men at stevens they were about $15 for a set of three. not to bad really. been baking furiously. making caramel and brownies and more cheesecake. i will be pleased when christmas is over to be honest so i can get back to clay. To much life in the way of my clay time URG !!! kidding
My bjd are coming along well in spits and spats really as time allows but it will be a longer term project to build up and complete.. but my two asian babies are done and now just ready for temporary hair and some more colour and they are looking so cute put together... still haven't painted the other prototype OMG ive a studio of WIPS !!!!! groan.
anyhow shall bash off and get back to baking.
lovley to catch up again with all your good works
love and thoughts

Good morning all... ;D One more sleep.. hehe Christmas dinner is at brother & sister-in-laws this year, yay! I'll make desserts and sweets in the morning. Blue, I know what you mean about the temptation of crystal mountain, Jesse and I really wanted to buy so many things, they had this huge hunk of amethyst crystals for only $30 reduced, and gorgeous agate 'caves', sooo cheap, "walk away" I said... We could take Fantail there for lunch some time Great news about the asian babies, photo's would be wonderful... when you get time Yes the BJD wont be able to be rushed, I'm so pleased you're going well with her. I finished the elephant btw, I wont bother to show, very similar to the other one. Hope she likes it.. Have a great day today...

I have 3 males around home for a couple of weeks as well I forgot to tell you where I went the other day... I buy mini guitars for one nephew and I went to pick one up from a lady in Massey..... WELLL!!! you should have seen what I walked in to. A whole ROOM of miniatures, all 1.12 scale. Fully decked out victorian style doll houses, drawers, cupboards and displays of every miniature thing you could think of. I told her I was NOT going to get into the hobby, definitely NOT..LOL Now Jesse is wanting to make an outdoor garden and a workshop shadow boxes... we were both enchanted by it all. If and when you get time.. you might like to have a look at her website... www.zoombox.co.nz/

;D Hi. Happy you both enjoyed Zoombox, it was magical to see all the mini's in RL, they are all very detailed... wonderful stuff... I had a bad time with the marionettes, I botched up painting their faces with the clay match paints. It was all patchy and awful.... I thought heating it might be better... it wasnt, it just cooked on the patchy mess...arghhh... and I'm having trouble with the fingers too... This morning I decided I would sell all my clay stuff.... Damien said I was being a big Sulk, and reminded me how much money HE had spent on everything... Lol, lol... So today I had to sand & sand the face.. again!! they really should be in the dodgy box. I'm off to look at the sites fantail put up, some inspiration will be great... ;D Hope you are all well...

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! don't sell just look at the wonderful troll you did to start with To get more even paint work make sure the paint is not too thick that you mixed it enough then apply in thin layers with a a small sponge. If it is still wet a second layer can take off patches right back to the clay so be careful I have not used the clay match paint yet so I'm not sure how many layers you'll need or how thin to go Hope you have better luck soon. If you scroll down this lady has an interesting painting tute over several pages fairiesndreams.deviantart.com/gallery/

Hey Darlings
NEW ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!! KMART has pasta machines on sale for $15 !!!!!! they are actually brilliant they have the short rollor machine with the extra spag hook on the back ( which we dont need to add)
Donna we all have wee spells we feel the same way even me there are times one would be happy to chuck in the primary sculpting tool but....... it passes and the addiction sets in once again. youll be right doll honestly. just roll with it. and when the chaos of holidays rolls by lets do a working day ok.
I have finished my asian babies. thank goodness..... now to moulding. GROAN and GRIN the bjd are slogging along slow as a snail in a blue moon
nothing else new to report from my neck of the woods. still boys on holiday and no net time so just flying threw like a chicken on speed.
be well lufflies and dont forget this crazy old chick wishes you well and thinks good things on all of you

oohh, thanks Blue. I'll be rushing in today Hope my kmart has some. Cos.... I was doing the xmas visit thing with a friend and she was taken with the pearl star pendant I was wearing but also the ones I have given her in the past. She's a crafty SAHM. wants me to show her how to make some stuff. A pasta machine would make things a lot easier - she won't have to travel an hour to use mine! Donna, you can NOT give up! You have far too much talent to waste. but you must do what you feel is right, of course.

Thanks Fantail, the baby is beautiful too, great that she sculpt her own. The site is wonderful as well, she does a wonderful job with the painting and particularly the hair.. ;D Have you had a chance to do any sculpting? Can't wait to see the Asian babies I've almost finished cleaning up the girls faces as best I can. The hands are annoying me, the wire keeps showing through and I'm making them dirty playing around all the time, so I might go on to the feet for awhile.

No I haven't had the chance I mixed some more clay (Super Sculpey and Cernit) even though I don't really feel like making something nice from it It is hard to get the wire to the center of the finger or to have the wire bent the way you want the finger to be prior to adding clay

Hi I've visited Mark a few times now... ;D I'm so jealous Blue, what a beautiful place to visit, so magical. I'll have to take my lot there some time, they'll enjoy that, and Thames is a great place to go to as well. I watched Avatar again with the teens, I absolutely love that movie. I'm having the same trouble with feet today... I want to bake them, due to the temptation to keep mucking around for perfection. We all know where that will lead me.... but they are going flat too. I was going to round them off and sit them on padding, hopefully that will stop it... I won a book on trademe, making porcelain dolls, looks like it will be good. Blue, I know you are informed already, but you might like to have a lookie when we catch up next... Off to get something done... finally it's cooled down, I was over-heating. See ya.

it really is a fantastic butterfly house the best ive ever been to. better than ak better than Melbourne even better than Dunedin even but it is super hot and humid in it. 30 cel plus with added humidity but it is beautifully set out and they do have a dryer box for your camera cause it will fog up till it gets acclimatised. but yes another trip soon thats for sure. i love thames also my great granny imported herself to there. hehe time stands still. quite close to and feel so far away..love it.
as for those porcelains yes id love to pour myself over your new book. infomed maybe but not educated SNORT.
and yer i had to give up on the feet today also flat bottomed feet RAR might just bake and do the underside post bake. sick of squishin the good details attempting to keep an arch rar goin round in circles.lmao maybe just be patient and wait for some cool and get stuck in.
hi tho girls hope all is well.
