yeah I would be worried about hot glue and clay best to do a test piece as the glue or nozzel might melt the clay - thought she mentioned a low heat I'd still be weary
It was great fun to watch though and interesting to see the joints

omg isnt that doll gorgeous, and she has other vids...gasp. im cringing as she slices those seams man she makes it look so darn easy. but thank you so much I to suffer the dreaded youtube' * clickeritis on random associated links and get stuck for an hour *
did a little trolling last night and have decided that in future i will in fact appoxy a thin leather ring into the joints for protection. just seams the most stable in the long term.
seams cooler today and darker phewwww.
have a great day ladies

Blue you can see where she has done this with her dolls here... www.forgotten-hearts.com/BJD/P-002-Mei-Lin/IMG_2130.JPGI started the basic head shape last night, and made half a doz wire springs which none were right, looking for pens to smash and take springs out of now... and I realised I'll have to make very small eyes for the first time... How are you going Fantail, is little beastie any further along... Have a terrific day...

wow a year already Youve done great girl dont you worry on that. there is always a lot of issues and things to simply figure out at the beginning a. collection tools and materials and acquiring things trolling for fresh ideas an inspiration and just learning to look and see with new eyes. Your very luck to already *Know* what it is you wish to do which direction you want to take etc. it takes most years to figure that out so in another year youll be thrashing out clicky legs and things with springs and all manner of enchanting creatures yer baby and yes you want to change something or trim something or push something just that edge to far . treading oh so carefully holding breath and wishing it will work then SNAP !!! groan we always know better to start with but just want to see if it will work we do know better. but hey nothing ventured nothing gained. its worth a shot sometimes other times it jsut teaches us what NOT to do.......groannnnnnnn anyhow kid........ you are doing fabulous ok keep up the good work besides........ we know where you live we wont let you stop anyhowz muhahahaha

I have a few bear eyes though not very small Its hard to get them the with the same size iris and not have the swirls of black from the iris but I'm curios to see the effect. What paint would you use on it? Though I'm quite happy with the technique I'm currently experimenting with Hehe Popcorn I take my hat off to Storkie and her tiny sculpted baby

yer those glass eyes they are hand made so are NEVER symmetrical but i just snip the wires and mix and match them up. Id prefer just plane glass eye blanks and paint them in reverse. you can just use genesis on them ive had some success with acrylics but it usually darkens to much if baked more than once. genesis and pearlex is nice
am sick of sanding i have wrinklie waterlogged human white fingers that need some air. just the thighs to go then fine sanding.....
need caffine. bbl

;D Hello... I've been working hard... lol... A 10mm baby, yes that is seriously insane... I would love to have seen that, did she put up a photo here? I might have a look around in my next break... Oh..I forgot about the doll show.. The head was too small so I've started another but I think this one might be too big... guess it doesn't matter tho', no hard rules for how big a bobble should be. Also I can only find one photo taken afar with shades on so thats a fat lot of good - thats prob why hes taking the camera to work huh.. Well I have to make eyes now.. and they are 4mm (iris) so don't listen to me...big baby.. they're not really small... ;D I feel so lucky to be here...

;D I FOUND IT...Storkarts micro-mini baby, I had to look at my fingernail to appreciate just how tiny it is... it was on her up-dates on p3 #69... INCREDIBLE. It was a pleasure to see her other works on the way to finding it, what a talented lady she is, is she still sculpting or more focused on photography now..
Anyway I hope you have finished all the sanding now Blue, I hate sanding too. Fantail I can't wait for the little baby...
I miss Anubis... I hope she calls in soon...
Well I've just got home so back to the eyes that I haven't started yet...
