It's so hot, I keep trying to go out in the sun to enjoy it while we can, but geez I'm melting... I've got some work achieved on the face, the eyes are in but I'm working around them coz they need to cure more.. Caricature is not really my talent, things always end up more realistic than I intend.. and its bl**dy hard to get likeness with clay, drawing is easier... it's looking okay so far.. It looks hilarious when I put big head with bug eyes on little body hehehe. We all loflmao while Mike scowls at us... LOL I've been showing Damien websites of great artists like Mark Dennis, Nicole West and Creagers gallery.. also an FX forum which is more his style.. He was very impressed. I'll get him hooked soon enough... luv to you all...

Made chocolate cupcakes last night and then covered them with chocolate this morning and made simple flowers with mini marsh mellows to decorate them but there is only a few left, the rest went to family It's too hot to sculpt- we finally have a slight breeze going through the house.
Sounds pretty funny ;D good on you for still recruiting Donna

hope you do get to finish of the Bjd's today I'm hitting my head against a mental block as far as my story is concerned hope I can come up with something this week see if I can finish and bake the wee baby today these were that last of the cupcakes yesterday - they were a bit rushed to get the melted chocolate on before it set but I liked the chocolate with the pretty colours of the marsh mellows

Sorry Blue I didn't make any for the NZPC fanatics and they are almost all gone - wish I had taken a photo of them all together. Maybe you can take one of those ice bricks from the freezer (or even a bottle filled with water then freeze it) and place it under a fan in a shallow bowl to keep you cool a bit longer

;D Oooh those cupcakes look delicious, no wonder they got eaten up so quickly. Dolly nearly finished and wee baby due for baking... yahooo!!! Excellent.. looking forward to pics soon then... Fantail I hope your writing muse gets back to you soon... I've been working on the head most of the morning, but I wasn't 'sposed to, I had chores to do.. now I have to go get food, the cupboards are bare and I'm starving (especially now I've seen the cakes) but worse still.. I'm out of milk for coffee Anyway the head is 3/4 done, but I can't seem to work on a simplified level..it's turning into a mini portrait which is frustrating me so much..but I can't stop it...it was supposed to be simple.... Enjoy the rest of the afternoon, rain has left and its screaming hot again...

I wonder what your cats will think about those blade-free fans that basically looks like a hoop, specially on a hot day like this I need to cut the wire, touch-up a few spots, paint, add hair, make wrinkled wings and a base to attach the cocoon onto.

'morning girls... Fantail, looks like you'll be making a few of these littlies, I definitely want one when you have some for sale.. Your Mum might be onto something, antenna would probably look very cute. Excellent work, I cant wait to see 'her' finished. Speaking of wanting things... I have my beady eye on a very cute little iddy of yours Blue.. he was on your work table if I recall (looked like a 'he' to me) with a very long pixie hat. If he is ever for sale, let me know. How are the Bjd girls and dolly coming along? I'm happy with bobble face.. yay! and it does look like him.. Yay! He has distinctive features (being nice here, hehe) so I knew it was going to be a challenge to capture his likeness, but I feel I did. When do you say 'thats good enough'..? It's getting dirty.. I still have to sculpt the ears and hair at the back, so I want to bake now. I also need to bake more than once so it will darken to match the rest, so I guess one more look over ... and in the oven he goes.. I'm quite cold in my shorts and singlet..wheres the sun..?

Ive done a few minis with antenna and micro-bead hair they are always super super cute tails...... dont feel to shy to give it a shot. Your cocoon baby is beautiful when are you taking orders ?? tee hee hee can we have them with moving parts? ? HAHAHAHA still think it is the cutest mini ever....utterly adorable well done you Donna youll have to visit and come a iddy biddy snatching lmao i have heeps of those suckers around so your welcome to adopt ; ) your clay project sounds so darn cool yoru almost done now tho excellent. do you think youll make more bobbles bjd are almost there. i feel the days are rolling by and im still * almost there* worked on one late last night ......took stuff back to the studio this morning and realized ive lost a foot. two hours of searching later and still no foot....... i simply dunno where its gone to it will turn up in the strangest of places im sure. I also went a bit mad and redesigned the knees.........again... but now im not sure if they will balance so have to string it up and see if it will work out. exactly how many times can this clay be baked? i really do have to finish this project soon im becoming way to neurotic with it.....URG ! anyhow shall get back to * the great foot search* and other strange things bbl for coffee xR

Lunch-time!!! I did some gardening to clear the mind...(weeding really, and barely touched the surface). After lunch I'll do a once-over with fresh eyes and in he goes. Yes I will have to make more flicky- bobbles. Jesse is desperate for one of him, but he has special instructions... no shirt with rippling muscles, abs and huge biceps... HAHAHAHA he's a skinny 15 yr.. Damien will be a challenge with his waist length dreds... Then I'll take your advice and line them all up and flick their foreheads when they are annoying... LOL moving parts on the mini bub.. you know what shes gonna say about that!!! Best of luck finding the foot... it reminded me of when I went hunting for the glo n the dark micro finger...LOL Madness!!! I'll def be down at some stage to adopt an iddy biddy or two.. . I thought the knees looked fab, but it's YOU who has to be happy with it.. Enough yakking, off to scrutinize the head.. I've got to add I'm sick of looking at his face... ;D

at what point * it is done* cant i just make another and make it different rather than sadistically hack clay and remake. hmmmm still cant find this darn foot honestly its not exactly small either. i must be blind and daft.......cause its still no where to be found..........unless cat bugler decided to adopt it as a play thing during the night..............hmmmmmmmm i really need to string them up and test them flex today to.DASHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ITTTTTTTTTT
line them up girl and flick away............... muhahahaha
you might have orders for them to HAHAHAHA i can just imagine it * behave child or i shall FLICK YOU IN THE HEAD * muhahahaha

I caused the back of the head to BLOW APART.... I put it on a wooden peg to stop it caving in, but I didn't think about the tension when the clay got warm.... *swearing here*... I was SO close to finishing and patting my back for getting thru' a whole piece without a mistake... will have to rebuild the back... If it had been the face...well...thankfully it wasn't... It's still in the oven... better go check on it...

I'm back... I've left it exactly where it lay and transfered it to the freezer... hopefully I can jigsaw it back together and glue it to save some time.. I'm not so mad at myself now.. Have you found the foot yet Blue? I use a pendulum when I lose things, which is often... 'bit witchy but it works for me..

here they are A2 and A3 minus hands and feet. there are still a couple issues minor that need addressing before the final touches .but almost there. it us an incredibly large amount of work........ and still no foot either. darn trickery in this place...... its hiding somewhere i know it.......... lmao sooooooooo so sorry to hear about your blowing up clay Donna if you catch them baked you can grab with a thick cloth .superglue real fast and squeeze the beejeebies of them and get it all back together or some use the liquid sculpty etc. youll get it sorted i know you will.
