'morning everyone.. Thanks for that Blue.. No my clay isn't behaving at all, particularly that acid green colour, it just dents and squashes around. Also the jean colour I mixed is too brown (I was trying for a 'dirty' charcoal). *note to self.. don't use premo for clothing again.. and don't mix colours at night. My choices now.. if I ever want to finish these silly things... is bake the sweatshirt then smooth after by sanding, and paint the jeans with a wash of black...or... remove said clothing and start again... Its a gorgeous day today.. enjoy your day.. ;D

*NB Please Be very cautious heating resins even if it just a small blast as it gives off the gasses cyanide or formaldehyde even in very small doses. Keep good ventilation in mind. Good to know Blue. That is scary but then we already know to have good ventilation when baking Polymer clay I will just keep it in mind that when baking heads with eyes to make sure I bake outside

yer.... sorry for the nag. i know we are always careful not to breath that blast of hot clay. yadda yadda and good ventilation gees i even have a proper cartridge ventilated gas mask for resins. its just not something we can/should ever be complacent about. in saying that there is probably 50 times more dangerously active elements in city air than will ever be admitted to lol managed to find madam new boots. not proper docs tho but a close rip off and have zips and buckles and lace up bits that suited just fine. and they fit well with skinny leg jeans. hmmmm shrugs. Donna payless plastics down lincon road is reopened and they have big segregated bead boxes for $5 i have a few and they are terrific they have divider slots and the seed beads do NOT escape from them. Im happy to grab you one if needed to tails. and and the resin on the painting set fine. but the painting is so silly ..it really looks better horozontally... it will do for now tho. I will just add to it later on hows that little hand coming along tails? your clay mixing sounds interesting donna must get back to work... be good youz

Thank you Blue but how do you keep the seed beads escaping I have two similar containers and still keep the tricky beads and little objects in bags which takes up space
Glad the resin set fine I don't think your painting looks silly at all The little hand needs more work as always I made some more armatures for hands and feet and started to build her thigh back up
What are you busy with at the moment Blue Hope you figure it out Donna

Yes, thank you Blue.. I have some of those type containers but you can never have too many..and $5 is so cheap. I'm so happy that the resin set for you.. ;D and I really like your painting.. Yay re your girls boots, she will feel soooo cool in them, what a great Mum. No nagging re safety issues.. I was shocked to read the label on LD clay as I thought PC was non-toxic and safe and was soon on the internet to read up, especially as I'm encouraging young ones to experiment in art. The resin we are currently using isn't nearly as toxic as other forms..however it still has warnings to follow. Fantail your hands will be perfect if green magic is anything to go by.. oh I still have to do hands, I hope I get as good as you.. Well the mini-me's are in the oven.. I got to the "thats ENOUGH" stage.. and it was too hard working around unbaked clay. I will paint the jeans. The gum massager stuck on my quill (thanks girls) helped a lot with the smoothing of the sweater, just very dirty now. Often admitting I'm have difficulty is enough to make me determined Still have some to do on them but moving on now. Better check on the bodies, make sure they haven't fallen over or something drastic..lol..

Could you please get me two Blue and let me know what the postage is so that I can reimburse you? I'll just keep at it I know you can do better then me Donna no problem Do take precautions but in the end you have to draw a line - if the crust of bread can be carcinogenic (what about every thing you heat) because of the radiation from heatthen you might as well do nothing but light exercise and eat dark berries and greens all your life Can't wait to see them Donna

LMAO exactly once you cut a tiny hole in your swathe-ring of bubble wrap and peek out at the dark dangerous world....... and find something non toxic let me know.
but yer this stuff even non toxic. over time will still eat away at the table varnish etc. so just basic stuff good ventilation and washing of hands and tools.
no probs with the beady things. the last ones i got ages ago i filled with beads only to find them jumping over to visit their colourful buddies. RARRRRR but these ones the slots do go right to the top ive had them upside down and shaken the begeebies outta them and they dont leak so yaa. and yer $5 is fab price a. ill grab you some anyhow. postage across town is $5.50 alwasy handy dandy for min bits and pieces lord knows how many of them we acquire lmao
and yes boot girl is happy as a clam. she says MUM its alllllllll about boots and in a way i have to agree with her........lmao she does not ever ask for much so its nice to be able to make her day.
i havent done anything all week other than homework. its time to go buy chemistry i guess just get a little nervy tho i dont want to make the wrong choices. but topmarks will see me right they are terrific ladies anyhow. just big expense etc still trying to find a vacuum lid cheaper than $90 so i can pick up the new motor .... one thing after another. RARRRRRR has to be a sound investment gees. but its not something you can skimp on either if it was cheap and nasty and failed id be full of perspex shrapnel so.........hmmmmmmmmmm yer.
but yer. almost there. just a wee breather before another round of maddness starts. but in saying that i dont think the brain ever stops plotting and planning the next projects.

its kinda nerve wracking cause. once they are caste and strung etc there and such is the point where ill get my harshest of critique eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek ! and I know they aren't perfect but they are as darn well as good as i can get them. there wont be many at all just a small number of them but its a start... learning curve etc really should have gotten things and been organized a week ago but just * to much on plate and mind syndrome* so small slow steps till i find my place again. anyhowz Tails I have your bead containers ( strokes chin) now to devise a devious plan muhahaha will head to post office monday and get them on there merry way k they are good tho, those ones where bits fall all over the place are nothing but a pain in the whapsie these things must be Just SO.. perfectionist organized miniaturists ok enough bleeting from me. i shall go cause major havoc somewhere with something and see what eventuates GRIN xR

..and we moderate our westy language for the forum as well... ;D 'Morning everyone... another gorgeous day... Blue all the best for choosing the perfect medium for your girls, as far as I know no-one uses resins for them (only comercially) I think it will be perfect... hopefully theres one able to be tinted flesh to avoid body painting.. Expenses... yer they sure get up there with the products you need, but the selling price for your girls should be on par, they go for a decent price especially in limited numbers... Not much to report from me.. bodies baked well and are looking pretty good now.. in between other things I'll continue with them over the weekend.. hands will be last... I have a shoulder-length layered bouncy new hair-do after 30+ years of very long dead straight, I don't know what to think..stranger in the mirror.. lol and I forgot to ask for the hair!!!! Enjoy this beautiful day.. and lets be thankful that tsunami petered out before it got here..

yer i reckon. so far id like 3-4-6mm these are also our most commonly used sizes.? Glass Round Cabochon 3 Clear $0.030 Glass Round Cabochon 4 Clear $0.046 Glass Round Cabochon 5 Clear $0.053 Glass Round Cabochon 6 Clear $0.061 minimum of 50 per size this is usd PLUS postage and exchange etc. not sure what the weight would be. but cant be to much at all. x50 would probably be a level tablespoons worth if ya lucky a. let me know if there are any other sizes not listed that would be helpful. i bought some new overlocker looper needles. they are the lower needles of funny bent shapes. after 3 odd hours of mucking about with them they DONT FIT ! CURSES one hole fitting is 3mm off WHAT THE! i tell you......... sewing machines and overlockers can be such a curse when things arent running right.. PRIMAL SCREAM! on a more productive note I sculpted myself a set and this week will get organized. yaa ok.......... off to torture child before school.......grin bbl for coffee

Hey guys... ;D
Aaaah gorgeous pic, sooo cute.
I haven't dragged my overlocker out for years, it will need servicing when I do.. don't know how you contemplated changing the blades I had enough trouble re-threading it...
I got some smaller beads today that were on order.. I'll have try them out soon.
I've been really busy lately but I've managed to do small amounts on the bodies.. D only needs hands now, J needs shoes and hands so not much to go.
I LOVE banana cake... ;D does it have chocolate icing? mmmmm
